This is MEAT SWEAT,
our warm little, home-grown insanity.
Hayao Miyazaki, the revered filmmaker who created 'Spirited Away', emphasizes 'Ma' in his films - a notion of taking time away from the story, where the audience can, for a moment, relax, breathe and take in what has happened.
A little emptiness.
Like ‘Ma’, the Meat Sweat experience seeks to provide a space for our guests to breathe and reconnect with the wonder of simple things.
Teppanyaki.
鉄板焼き
Teppanyaki is Japanese style of cooking, where cooking is done in front of the guests. It honors ingredients with simple dishes and holds a communal space, taking time for connection and togetherness.
“omakase”
お任せ
Omakase is a Japanese phrase, used as a term of trust in restaurants meaning, “I’ll leave it up to you”.
The guests surrender their choices to the chef’s intuitions, who takes them on a culinary journey, demonstrating respect, precision and innovation.
